Party Hardy
Although looking out the window today it feels like winter with the grey skies and drizzle, it’s starting to feel like spring around here. Not only are the trees beginning to blossom, the buds open, and the bears awaken, it also seems as though many of us are coming back from a period of hibernation.
Living in a small town, especially one which is so remote, can leave me feeling cut off and longing for a more varied social scene. By living in rural Canadian towns I have learned that it is the people that make the place and that you have to make your own fun. Luckily Port Hardy has a great bunch that have made the experience of living here even better. Over the winter social gatherings naturally subsided but now that spring is in the air and summer is (hopefully!) well on its way my calendar is quickly filling up.
I can’t wait to make the most of my last few months here on the north island. Plans for my next adventure are slowly taking shape but in the meantime I am looking forward to partying hard with my friends and planning my costumes for the upcoming themed houseparties. Anyone who knows me well, knows how much I like a good fancy dress party!

Hi! I understand this is sort of off-topic but I had to ask.
Does building a well-established website such as yours
take a lot of work? I am completely new to writing a blog but I do write in my
diary daily. I’d like to start a blog so I can share my
experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any kind
of ideas or tips for new aspiring blog owners.
Appreciate it!

Hi Therese,
I haven’t logged in to my website/blog for over a year – as with many people I let a lot of hobbies slide during the pandemic. I don’t make any money off my website so if that’s what you’re aim is, I’m not the one to ask. I write about my own thoughts and experiences. Good luck.
