Summer Travel Plans

Summer Travel Plans

Quick update about upcoming travel plans!

As the school year winds down, I am making plans both within Canada and abroad.  As soon as school’s out I will be heading to the airport ready for action. We are taking a family (ladies only) vacation to Malta! Sun, Sea, Sand, and Spa. I’m really looking forward for a week in the sun and visiting a new country. I have really been missing the European cafe culture over the past few years so hopefully we can try a few different spots and delicacies.  It will also be interesting for my mum to see what’s changed since she lived in Malta as a child.

Of course back here on the Canadian West Coast Island of Vancouver Island we have an action-packed summer, making the most of any good weather than comes our way; especially since we have the never-ending saga of upkeep/renovations/restoration on the Fourplex with a focus on getting the outside wooden deck and siding fixed up and painted before September. That and a much needed fence installed to provide some clear separation from our neighbouring building but that’s a whole other saga!  I’m looking forward to camping, lake days, FiLoMi days, and my latest venture – a vintage clothing and home decor boutique pop up shop around the North Island (Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Port Alice, and wherever else the opportunity arises). Check out ‘The Reloved Rose Boutique‘ on Facebook or @RelovedRose on instagram. Hopefully I’ll get a website up and running soon.

Later in the summer, we also have flights booked to the UK where I will visit with family and possibly make a quick trip across to France or another European destination. We have some ideas for the UK trip already such as Sandringham house and gardens, getting afternoon tea with my grandparents, perhaps a visit to an old castle, and a few days in London.

Any suggestions for places to go or things to do both in the UK and inexpensive nearby holiday destinations from the UK for 3-5 days max? Please leave them in the comments.
